Description I'm posting a new update image of my Computer station. Since the last image I've done a lot of work. I manage to get my V3 back and running. In doing this I decided to make some other changes.

The top shelf contains my Acer V3 laptop, shown here up and running. In fact, for those of waiting on the next installment of "Now Accepting Applications", that's what is loaded into it to work on. When I took this picture, I was trying out an idea I wanted to try but did not feel the Z1 could handle. Also on this shelf is my Cell phone in it's own, self made charging stand. Behind it is my external netis usb 3 AC grade wi-fi which is hooked to the Z1. I also have a small fan clipped to this shelf. My headphones hang from the clip.

On the middle shelf is my Sony DVD/RW (USB2) which is connected to the Z1. The Logitech keyboard which is standing upright is connect via wireless to my old Dell laptop which sits on a shelf above my 32" Olevia TV. I use the Dell to play media files on the TV. The shelfs the Dell and the TV are on is to the right of the picture. Behind the keyboard is a USB2 hub hooked to the router with my 2TB USB3 Toshiba Drive and a generic 32GB flash drive. There is also a USB3 hub hooked to the V3 with my 3TB USB3 storage drive hooked to it. My 4TB USB3 Media drive sits here has well though at the moment it is connected to the Z1 via another USB2 hub.

Mounted on the underside of middle shelf is my D-Link 2750B router. It is TBase100 for the hardlines and supports up to wi-fi N, though only on the 2.4ghz low band. It USB2 port can support the use of USB drives for file sharing. It even supports the use of multiabe drives via a usb hub. I currently have 2 drives hooked to it.

On the lower shelf is my Acer Z1. This machine has a HDMI port on it but instead of being able to use it to hook up a second display, it can only be used to hook to another HDMI device for use HAS a display. There's a button on the back that switches it's screen from Computer mode to Monitor mode. I have the HDMI port on the V3 hook to this port so I can use the Z1 has it monitor, making it a lot easier to see. In this image I have another 3D image loaded that I am just playing around with while the V3 does it thing. It is an image I created last summer but never finished. I was playing round with lights and other things for a series of Fan Art images I want to do for a Paranormal Romance series I like reading.

Clipped to the posts behind the Z1 are the speakers I have hooked to it. Clip upright to the right of it is a Logitech track ball which is connected to the Dell via a LONG USB2 extension cable. I like using it over the touch pad on the keyboard. Behind the Z1 is another USB2 hub which is connected to the Z1 which I use to connect the Media drive and the Sony DVD/RW. The Netis wi-fi and the Trackball are connected to directly the Z1 other 2 USB ports.

On the desktop in front of the Z1 sits my folding, dual-mode keyboard. It is hooked via the USB cable to the V3 and via Bluetooth to the Z1. The Logitech trackball on the right is connected to the Z1 and the one on the left is connected to the V3.

I am quickly getting use to switching trackballs when I switch my attention from the Z1 to the V3, though I do at time still have to stop and think a moment on which is which. The keyboard on the other hand is beig a little more troublesome in I am having more trouble remembering to switch it from USB mode to Bluetooth mode and back has I switch my focus back and forth.

At the bottom left you can see the Epson network printer I have, which IS hooked to the network and which the both the Z1 and V3 have been set up to use. It also has a front panel card reader and a USB port, both of which are seen has network drives on the Z1 and V3 because of the printer drives. Using them though over the network is very SLOW.

I have another old Acer Travel Mate laptop which is in my bedroom. Like the Dell, it is hooked to a TV and is used for playing media files. It is not currently hooked into the network. I still need to run the cable for it. Before I can do that I need to dig out the little simple network hub I have. The router only has 4 network ports and I already have all 4 in use. I'm going to unplug the Dell from the router and plug in the little hub. I'll then plug both the Dell and the Travel Mate into it.

I am so SO very happy.
