Description Can you tell I'm liking the anime so far? c8
A hint to what I'm working on so far...Not that it was ever a secret in the first place, hah.

Though I do like how it turned out, I still have this feeling that it's not really finished, like something's missing. I just can't put my finger on it D:
One other thing I wanted to include was something that implies that Touya's room (no, I will not call him...Hilbert e__e'; ) is messy, but I couldn't think of anything other than clothes (and having clothes lying around when his mum is right there taking out the laundry wouldn't make much sense :< )...

But yup yup. Any thoughts on improvements anyone? I'd love to hear some critics on this piece |D
Aside from my terrible skill with naming my artwork fffff

I think this drawing is great! You caught they're personalities well. Even of they don't kinda have personalities in the games and they never say anything, so thats a bit hard to figure out. But what I imagine of this is those two haven't start they adventures yet. So they are still young. And when you are young you often are playful. So thats what i tought when i said that you captured their personalities. Cause they are young and who doens't want to play-fight then. Even if they are just visiting home so are they still young anyway.

You have a nice focus on them and the mom. Because they are not in the exact middle of the drawing. It makes often the drawing unbalanced when people place the subjects in the drawing in the exact middle of the paper. So you did great there, you made a nice balanced drawing.
I also agreed with , that it would be nice if you maybe had a pokemon behind the mother(or in the laundry?) or a furniture somewhere. But of course with unlimited space to draw i understand that you couldn't fit anymore. But maybe you could have added a possible pokemon belonging to Toko(Hilda), who also teased Touya? Cause then you probably would have a even more dramatic feel to the drawing. If you had wished that.
Something you may miss in the drawing?...maybe Touya's cap?

But really overall this is a great drawing and a funny scene. I think you don't need more to the drawing, cause its really nice as it is. Its better that a drawing is simple. The drawing ends up a bit chaotic with too much features so yours is very balanced and not chaotic at all. It has an nice, easy dramatic feel, yet not overacted. You have done this piece well!

Oh, but it's because they don't have any personalities in game the we, the audience, can are able to give them one. Who says we always have to follow the original scripting? c:

And thank you very much! Though there is a reason why I didn't include Touya's hat in the picture; something I might explain sometime this month if you're willing to stick around, haha.

Well I'm glad you like it! I like the way it turned out too, but I felt like there could be something more that could add to the piece; I just didn't know what exactly |D

I like it as it is though! But maybe if your looking for added critique I can add my two cents.

Hmmmm, if I had to think of ways to change it, I'd say a wider canvas with more things/people/pokemon, but still keeping the focus on the two characters playing. Maybe one of the starters tugging on Touya's sleeve outside the picture with another (or including a third one) somewhere around them. Another example would be a Snivy behind the mom carrying a smaller basket of clothes watching them play with a curious look or something.

If you don't want to add pokemon and add something you want to imply it's Touya's house, maybe putting in something like he's holding a 3DS/DSi/DS with a second one lying on the ground belonging to the female trainer. Or get even more creative! You can add furniture to the foreground, or show another room out in the hall with stuff in there.

I think the picture looks fine as is in my opinion, but simple things like spreading the canvas and including details that don't distract from the focus of the picture could go a long way! I hope it helps!

Hey, that's great idea! Truth be told, I was reluctant to add anything more to the picture because I ran out of space. I have this absurd mindset that I should stick to the size I chose to start off with so the idea of resizing the canvas never occurred to me, haha..
Though drawing an entire room with furniture and doodads would definitely be challenging for me, I think it'd do me some good to get out of my comfort zone anyways.

Thank you very much for the critic, sir! Your two cents ended up being worth more than its name |D

I'm glad it was worth an extra opinion! I'm the same way with canvases and I mostly try and find other places to fit more things in, but the canvas you used looked like it could be wider and still look really nice. I hope adding extra things doesn't feel too tedious and irritating, just make it so that you can have fun making it. ^^

Haha, thanks! I guess I'm too used to using small on canvases since it's all I ever use. I'll definitely keep your suggestion in mind next time I make a piece like this c:
