Description
y'know how all those MMO rpgs have differently styled outfits based on the gender of your character? you know how wildly impractical and mostly half naked the females end up being? you know how much better a pair of silvery nipple spirals of +20 defense look on a male body?of course you do. (ゝω・)
van is the type who would actually bitch and complain that his male MMO character can't run around in assless chaps and a metal swimsuit, so he gets to dress the part. i learned the hard way that my computer hates rendering depth of field blur. (´д`;)

At least he won't easily burn his sleeves from errant fire spells.

Very true. Most importantly of all the stats on his skimpy gear somehow have the highest fire resistance possible. Less material to burn so somehow it makes sense in RPG logic. 👍

It's the same bs logic used when you opt to play as a female knight barbarian, etc.

Very nice... but I am curious if you colored his hair in DAZ or outside of it?

I coloured in in DAZ actually.

I was curious because if you recolor the texture, rather than "coloring" in DAZ, it reflects light much better. L(

I've learned a lot since this initial play at colouring in DAZ. I rly had no idea what I was doing when futzing with shaders and what colour I rly wanted his hair to be at the time (it's far and away from that teal colour now). I can get some good results now that I'm actually trying to tweak knobs instead of blindly flail my hands at them and scream to the universe for generosity.

Hi. Could you please give little bit detail about what clothing items, morphs and props used in this beautiful render?
Would be really appreciated

Acid, do you mind me asking the name of the digital art program you used for this piece, especially for the nicely done magical effect? Thank in advance my friend. Your work is truly impressive.

I used DAZ|Studio (www.daz3d.com/) for the overall 3D render and added the magical effect along with other bits of touching up with Photoshop. :) And thank you very much! I'm glad you like.

I so totally agree! It's not fair that only the females run around half naked despite being knights even! Yes, you have a nice chain-mail top and a metal skirt, but honestly, all the important bits between the two are unprotected!
About time the male gender got one! And I agree, those spirals DO look better on a male chest.

he's so awesomazingly gorgeous!
with these looks & the beautiful outfit, he won't need much magic against his foes: they will drop their weapons, bow down to the earth, kiss his feet and beg to become enslaved!

HMM impractical is right although this ensemble does seem to suit him particularly that collar which is a really beautiful emerald which matches his hair perfectly so I guess Van was right in this decision.

(to make matters worse, some items are actually only ALLOWED to be worn by one gender! Just terrible... some guys want to wear the slave Leia outfit too!)

genesis' joints can get a little wonky here and there but when i can wrangle in weird-looking bends it makes me so happy. :)

This is great- well done! LOL Very amusing, as well since most of my male characters would argue the practicality or simply poke my brain enough to give me a head ache when I do the same.
Making female outfits fit M4 is a PITA, but I've found with a little patience, much can be multi-use once done.

pfff who needs practicality when you can hypnotise your foes with strategically exposed midriff and a magic elemental-resistant thong?
the joy here is that i used genesis, which is really one of the best things ever. so much easier to fit everything (that isn't non-native shoes) onto the figure. it breaks a tear of happiness to my eye. but i remember the days of misery and comical rage at trying to get clothes to fit on male figures. i spent so much time annoyed with that that i ended up using V3 with male morphs almost exclusively. it was only 50% irritating to get stuff to fit then. i actually ended up skipping gen 4 figures because V4's male morphs were a sack of crap.

I do agree! LOL
As I do with using Genesis with clothing/props not made for the model- that does come in handy, and I do admit to playing with that for just this reason. I still tweak, twist, and finagle props/clothing onto M4 that goes all the way back to V3 in Poser Pro, and deal with the misery/rage/frustration still more times than not.
As for V4's male morphs, yeah. They're crap. I found a way around those as well.
A lot of V4's skins are great for gothic/fantasy figures, so I use M4 Enhanced with V4's Morphs (for added muscle tone with the V4 Muscle morphs and Stephanie) and UV's for additional skins and body types. Works wonders, really. You can use the Morph inj without the UV option as well if you have a M4 skin you want to use but want the added morph dials that V4's Muscular/Stephanie give. It makes a big difference in the end result for a lot of different types of characters.
Practicality went out the window when I realized I could tweak V's crap onto M. *Grin* Years and years ago. SEE THE MIDRIFF AND BOW!

Sooooo, you got a fave. Do you know how many countless hours I've spent in WOW getting that perfect set of transmog gear that gives my sexy blood elf male paladin the perfect armor-kini that actually shows flesh on a MALE character instead of looking like a set of long johns on the guys and a necklace on steroids on the girls?!?!?!
Sooo much time and game currency trying to get my male characters as impractically almost nekkid as the female toons that I have
Not that I'm a freakish lecherous gamer girl or anything... I just wanna ogle the sexy elfin boy booty as much as the girl booty!!!

Just for the simple fact that you did this with a male model (and I love me the ladies by the way) I'm secure in my maleness to fav this. Friggen hilarious and very well done.
Making that outfit fit a male model had to be a bit of a chellenge. Is this a Genesis model or M4? Curious n' all.

Oh, forgot to add... if your computer hates rendering DOF, just render without your back layer. render it separately, then render it alone. Pull it in Photoshop and give it a slight gaussian blur and layer them
