I like the expression on her face that smug look that says "I got this".

Never forget: Mages are traditionally the most broken class in D&D (on higher character-levels )

I kind of like the idea of slightly overpowered amputee mages. The rest of the group needs to accommodate for them but they also have value to the group.
I am thinking about making it necessary for certain kinds of magic that the wielder has a part of him to be already dead (e.g. amputated limb) in my own short stories:
Introducing Magic, Cults, Fantasy and Sci-FiPotential Spoilers ahead. So if you dislike spoilers don't read it if you have some interesting ideas let me know though...
I am thinking about introducing magic and fantasy aspects into my stories I am not sure exactly what yet but here are some ideas I have:
* A Penthesilea cult and the members of the cult obtain magic powers via rituals
* Witches which happen to have disabilities
* Daemons which trick people into losing limbs
* Vampires
* Hunters
* Secret societies
Magic Items:
Card Plaing game
* A card playing game that has disabilities on each card it comes together with dice. You throw a die deal yourself the number of cards the die shows. You lay the cards in front of you and throw a die again. That die decides how many months you will have the disabilities. Once the card is revealed you throw the die again. This third die decides how much pain and problems you will have with each of the disability, e.g. will you be able to wear a prosthesis etc.
* The deck

Is it my imagination or are they still looking at each other?

Thanks Max
Why shouldn't they?
They are together on a quest for the first time - so it's natural they are keeping an eye on each other, so none of them gets surprised by a trap, an orc or any other danger
