Description
When I designed the Ninja Tribunal I also gave the 4 kids graphics team some extra bits of artwork to populate the DVD menus and cover. Here is some of that artwork.For this image I felt splinter needed to have a cool moment for once, what with him getting knocked out or kidnapped all the time lol I wish he kept this outfit for the remainder of the series oh well
All of the images for the tribunal cover was inked by brush on a 14 by 17 Bristol and digital colored in photoshopRelated content

I must say that his Ninja Tribunal arc outfit is my favorite so far. He looks amazing with this hat and a robe (I'm not sure how this is called, such a shame...) and in addition with walkingstick from Ancient One - OMG, he's so cool! Why he won't wear it more often? Therafore - I'm greatful that you painted him like that.
As for the "rat in distress" scheme (that's how I call it) - I have two theories. One is more "normal" - maybe he's just getting old. Second, more "cracked" - I think it's for the fangirls, who want to see him in trouble, so his sons will go help him and make Splinter fans see how they care for him.

Yeah, it kind of annoyed me how Splinter would flip-flop from bada** ninja to the proverbial princess over and over again. I mean, sometimes they use his age as an excuse to be weak, but normally that isn't a problem for him, right? I don't know, it just really irks me occasionally.

Ever epic hero needs a hat. Dirty Harry has his Hat, Knux has a Australian Outback hat from his Great Great Gramps,Short Round has his baseball cap, and Splinter has his humble straw hat. truly hats make everything cooler, why did everyone stop wearing them after 40s?
