Description
For the point in turtles forever where we show different TMNT Dimensions. We used existing artwork and new pieces created specifically for the sequence. This image was a collaboration between me and Edwin Nebres, a really great storyboard artist on the show. The reason why it's such an odd proportion is because it was made long enough for a pan. all the parts on the image are on a different plain to give it some depth
Line art- Edwin T. Nebres - edwintnebres.blogspot.com/
Colors: Me

Not all the universes shown in Turtles Forever were actual universes shown in comics or other media. Some are artist specific, This one was drawn by Edwin Nebres. So it is his own unique version of the Turtles. Ed has a long history with the TMNT property, he was the only person in our studio at the time who worked on both the 80s Turtles and our show. so it seemed a fitting tribute.
There are other stills that are similar to this. One notable one was one drawn by Stan Sakai specifically for the dimension sequence in the film.

This is great, but I don't get the pieces of metal on the turtles' heads. If this was an actual comic, I'd buy it!

I seriously luved that part in the movie (the views of the mulit-verse). I also thought it was neat that two shots from the TMNT anime were also included in that scene.
Congrats on your great work!

How many pictures in total did you personally draw for that scene?

unfortunately I never got to draw any of the mulit-verse shots. Though I did draw the poster for the film as well the comic page that the classic turtles fade into at the end.

Dude, did you actually work on turtles forever! You are so my hero right now! My only gripe is that they do not have the unabridged version on video. Will they ever?
So is this version like a mystical feudal japan version of the turtles with different weapons or what?

E-Mann In reply to BlueRoseKelly [2013-08-08 00:34:29 +0000 UTC]
Thank you. This version of the turtles has never existed. It was made specially for the film. It's inspired by Ninja scroll.
unfortunately I have no idea if there are any plans to release the unedited HD version of the film with the original poster art. Β You'd probably have to contact nickelodeon about that. they are in charge of the franchise. Β I do know that an Β uncut anamorphic widescreen version was released on DVD in PAL.

not sure if im spelling these right but those are Shinai shaped shuriken or Bo shuriken, keoketsu-shoge (sans ring) and kusari-fundo is the weighted chain weapon. More info on the Ninja-to sword but Ill only go into that if yall want it.

this is great, as someone that as actually practiced the art of Ninjutsu and is familiar w which weapons are TRUE ninja weapons its nice to see them depicted. NOT sure what Turtles forever is but as someone who waited in line to see the original movie and jumped up and down anytime the theme song was heard I will have to check it out.

Holy crap. This was like my favorite piece that flashed across the screen. It was you, eh? Awsome! Have you any backstory to the imaginary universe these guys belong to or did you just decide to make a creative look & leave it at that?

Absolutely love the lighting and shadow. Gives a much more epic feel to it! I also like how you changed the weapons they use to weapons more commonly associated with ninjas. Awesome!!

I didn't design them the Line art was by Edwin Nebres. All I did was paint the image and place the blacks
