everybody can do it. it's just about not afraid to use the pen unlike the pencil. =]

All I'd like to suggest is that you maybe darken the background on it and maybe strengthen your outlines around the girl similar to her ribbon/scarf. She seems to be the focus, but blends a little too much with the background.
