It's true. I've had people tell me to get a sense of humor before, when 1.) I already have a refined sense of humor, thank you very much, and 2.) their brand of humor is tasteless, immature, or just plain stupid.Just because I don't appreciate your stupid practical jokes does not mean I need a sense of humor.
It means you need to fucking grow up and get a new one.
As always, ask me if you want to use this stamp, please.

I never laugh at black humor, dirty jokes, or "random" jokes, so people say this all the time.
But I have a sense of humor. It's just that I laugh at different things; and who cares what I laugh at, anyway?

I absolutely hate poorly-written humor in comics/stories. Like crappy slapstick jokes. I hate the idea that "HEY, IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE FUNNY! LET'S TOSS DECENT WRITING SKILLS IN THE GARBAGE!"
When I write parody, I try to write like I write a novel. If you're getting your laughs from how poorly written the story is and must rely on crappy punchlines and pure idiocy, you do not share my humor.
Because yes, it's possible to write a funny well-written story. Better vocabulary and more detail makes it funnier and better in every way.

This is especially bad when someone tells me this after telling a hurtful joke.
