I've never worked with a model and always done my "artistic nudes" with myself. The relation between a model and a photographer is a mystery too me. I don't know i I would be able to work with some one because the ideas I have in my mind are mine, are intimate, and asking some one to embody these ideas would be revealing my innerself...
Well, all that to say that I would be perfectly unable to say to a young woman "hey, please, undress and run on the ice, I want to take some photos". It's not that I disapprove, but I know I won't be able to do it...too shy I guess.

I like these "behind the scenes" images much better than most nude photography. Nude art is often so sterile and boring. This image is rather interesting to dream about. It tells a story and leaves some open ends for my fantasy. And you look yummy, no matter the pose, so what those greek-sculpture-poses are good for, is beyond me. I want more of these!

I was writing of nude art photography in general, not just the photographs in your gallery. And I was writing of a tendency, not an absolute. I find something interesting in that image of you on the rock in the lake, if only I was wondering how you got there without appearing wet. Did the photographer carry you? Or is the water so shallow that only your legs got wet? But I miss this "irritating" aspect in most nude art.
Think of the greek sculpture comparison I made: beautiful, but not alive, and - to me - irrelevant. I like those sculptures (and images) as a background, in a garden (or in an advertisement that I see for a split second while I browse a magazine at the dentist), but they touch nothing in me and do not seed anything in my mind. I see and recognize the beauty, the craftmanship, the idealization, but nothing happens, and nothing remains in my mind after I turn away. I forget those images.
And please don't compare what I wrote here to my own gallery. I am not a good photographer, and I do not yet know how to realize my ideas. Meanwhile I'm making cheap smut, cause I like to be around naked women.

I see what you're saying. Out of curiosity, do you feel the same way about classical music?

I have never really liked most of classical music, while I once admired nude art photography. I prefer self-made kind of music: made by amateurs, not professionals. It is the professionalism, that is often the reason for the sterility. I enjoy folk music as much as garage punk. But I like Grieg, Stravinsky, some contemporary composers like Kodaly or Escher, and I like medieval music (though that is not "classical" in the common sense).
As I said: it is a tendency I percieve, not a natural law. Some professionals make art that is vibrant and alive. While most amateurs of course cannot even handle their tools properly. What I like and what I try to achieve is, where both parts meet: good craftsmanship and chance. Maybe I miss the surprise, because in fact, when I look at most nude photography, I feel I have seen the same thing a hundred times before.
The problem, if I think about it, seems to be that most would be artists try to emulate what they like or what once was surprising and new. It is like a rock or pop band, who "compose" one variation of the same hit song after another until the public finally tires of them.
Probably, especially with the advent of the internet and every hobby photographer publishing his or her art on the net, I have seen too much of the same kind of images. I want something new. Maybe I should turn from nude photography altogether, but I have only just begun.

I had a feeling you'd answer that way about music. I understand your viewpoint though I am not like you; I like the classics.
For me, art does not have to be completely original in order to be good. I simply have high standards for that type of art... if it is something that has been done before, it had better be stellar! And of course doing something new is good... but there are few things that haven't been done. Chances are that if you think you've done something totally original, you could be wrong.
Yes the internet does kind of fuck with the "art nude", but I choose to ignore the crap.
