the translator usually translates literally from japanese. as a result, a lot of the sentences don't flow well, the order tend to be odd, and some of them are broken. the job of the proofreader is to be able to understand what the translator means with the literal translation, and change the sentences such that when the reader reads it, they make a nice flow without altering the meaning of the original sentence.
we also check for grammar/spelling errors.

This is amazing. Really. Beautiful, I love it.
If only I could work so well and diligently. This would take me FOREVER to finish, mainly because I'm such a procrastonator, and once I get an idea, I'm so inspired I just start right away without planning or measuring. And then I get a new idea and drop the other completely. That's just the way I work.
I admire this. Excellent inking and lines. I must say the characters are wonderfully...well, in-character. And the black and white adds drama. Smart choice with no color.
Overall, gorgeous. Perfect, even with the mistake on Zoro's swords.

you use white ink with a wet brush.
it's done on a single piece of 18x24 bristol board. scanned into 15 separate pieces and jointed together with PS.

Wow... This is so awesome! I know you've probably gotten MANY comments like this, but the reason why is because it's completely true! This is one of my all time favorite pictures on DA. This is just absolutely amazing! I wish I could even draw a fraction of this! You truly do have a lot of skill.
