Yes, the one yesterday was a joke. Here's the real one.
First One Piece colorspread in... I think a year. I apologize for the long hiatus of decent OP fanart, I hope this makes up for it. Also (believe it or not), the first OP colorspread EVER featuring the Strawhats not in chibi form! Partly it's because of my fear of not being able to do these guys justice, but mostly because there are just too many of them.
Also, apologies for slapping the watermark everywhere. I really don't want to be accused of stealing my own art, nor be accused of uploading Oda's colorspread from a nonexistent chapter. Yeah, I'm looking at you, scanlation teams.
And lastly, some progress shots, to prove that I did draw this. People seem to have trouble believing that.

No it isn't. The three days was when they were all suppose to return to their ship. After the war and everything (trying to make post as spoiler free as possible), Luffy decided that everyone need to stay where they are and power up, and meet again in two year. Hence why the three days is crossed out.

the dark pencil mark is so dark because it's levelled up on photoshop. the actual pencil used is 4H, which is really really light.

I probably won't be able to afford Akon again for a while, lol (I'm from near Chicago, was a 16 hr drive). But I plan to be at AFest, so if you do that con, I'll see you there~ otherwise, hopefully, when I finally move down to that area, I'll be doing Akon more regularly and I'll see you again~

i'm assuming you're not caught up, so spoiler alert:
upon being separated in sabaody island, the strawhats decided to regroup after three days. however, realizing they weren't strong enough to take on the next challenge, they each went into individual training to make themselves stronger, prompting a two-year timeskip in the manga.

so even though they promised to meet up after 3 days on the mermaid island , in the manga , they did it after 2 yrs? ; i'm on ep 453 atm
