Description
-This is a scene from later in my BOTW Fancomic. Much has happened up to this point between Anya and Revali that I have yet to draw but I really wanted to ink this page.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Revali found himself in the palace's music room, a place filled with a vast assortment of instruments. He moved silently through the room, his expression initially one of disdain for the Hylians' seemingly excessive collection of musical devices. He couldn't help but feel a touch insulted by the thought of how long these instruments might have been sitting there, neglected.
As he wandered about, his gaze fell upon a violin, and his typically stern face softened ever so slightly. Revali had always been a private individual, guarded in both his actions and emotions. However, like all Rito, he had a deep love for music that was an undeniable part of his soul. His hand reached out, gently lifting the violin from its resting place.
In the quiet solitude of the empty music hall, he began to play. The music that filled the room was nothing short of breathtaking. Revali lost himself in the melody, his heart calling out to his home, Rito Village, in ways he couldn't put into words. The tune he played was a traditional Rito melody, warm and light, reminiscent of the gentle wind that carried their village's spirit.
Anya, on a mission to gather the champions for a meeting at Purah's request, heard the faint strains of music echoing through the palace halls. Intrigued, she followed the melodic sounds, guided by their ethereal beauty.
As she reached the source of the music, she stood before the closed door of the music hall. Unable to resist her curiosity, she gently pushed the door open and stepped inside. What she saw inside left her utterly shocked and captivated.
There, in the soft, golden glow of the tall and beautiful windows that lined the room, Revali stood playing the violin. His usually stern demeanor was softened by the music, and he seemed lost in the melodies he created. Anya couldn't help but be entranced by the sight of the proud Rito champion, a master of the wind, surrendering to the enchantment of the music he played. She watched in awe, her presence unnoticed by Revali, as he poured his soul into the song.
Anya's surprised exclamation broke the spell of the music, and Revali lowered the violin as the final note echoed throughout the hall. He turned to face her, his usual composure quickly returning, though there was a hint of fluster in his demeanor.
"Oh, indeed," he replied with a touch of his usual arrogance. He turned fully to her, his back to the grand windows. "I didn't know I had an audience."
Anya stepped further into the room, a faint blush on her cheeks from being caught listening. "I didn't mean to intrude," she said apologetically, "I was sent to gather everyone for a meeting with Purah, and I heard the music... it was beautiful."
Revali's feathers ruffled slightly as he looked at her, his expression unreadable. "Well, I suppose it's good to know my talents extend beyond just that of combat," he quipped, attempting to steer the conversation away from his moment of vulnerability. There was a moment of silence, "Well out with it. What is so important that you all need me this very moment?"
