Description
An idea I had some time ago, meshing together concepts from the GoG movie and the books.Just a sketch, don't really have plans to make an actual chess set, although I don't know why someone didn't think of it already....
It would be way more epic than that Circles of Strength game that came out for the movie

I'd be thrilled if I came across something like this at a game shop

Thanks!!
I don't think so, since the brothers were probably intended to be some comic relief in the movie.
They are downright nasty in the book though- no evil-staring contests XD

Oh, I hated them in the books XD Downright cruel and creepy. Especially because of what happened to Digger's poor brother Flick. But I don't know who's worse, them or Auntie Finny. They were all terrible.
So are you a big fan of the books?

Oh yeah, read all of them at least half a dozen times
I think Auntie is worse, just because she pretends to be sweet and nice but then becomes a complete monster when she is among the St. Aggie's owls that discover Hortense rescuing eggs. If I had to choose a favorite villain type, it would be Auntie's type-- the one that feigns innocence but is downright horrid underneath.

I've only read them once, but my love doesn't stop. I've read the first one twice and I started The Journey for a second time but I'm reading another series right now, so that's on pause until I'm done.
Yeah, I think Auntie is worse. Especially after finding out what she did to those eggs! And I can't stand the type that pretends to be nice. I hate Nyra more than Auntie, but I honestly prefer Nyra's type. if you're going to be evil, I'd rather they just show it so I'm not either confused or just infuriated with their supposed kindness. And Glaux, I HATE the Striga with a passion. More than Nyra, and I thought that was impossible.

Definitely with you on the Striga. I don't like how he corrupts Coryn, and then after Coryn regains his senses and sets off to redeem himself in the final battle, the Striga is the reason Coryn dies!!
I think Coryn should have been given a longer chance to rebuild the Great Tree. That death doesn't do him justice.....
But I still think Soren would make a great king, too.

During River of Wind I was all, "Hm. I kind of like this guy." And then in Exile I was just like this the whole time: "THIS GLAUXFORSAKEN OWL IS FRINKING ME OFF!!!" And then War of The Ember was when I realized /just/ how much I hated him. I was determined to still hate Nyra more, but...that didn't last.
I cried when Coryn died. I hadn't particularly cared for him much, because it kind of felt like he barged in on everything I loved with the Band. But after what the Striga was doing to his mind I felt sorry for him, and then I found evil spoilers online that he was going to die and so then of course I felt like sobbing, and I went into the rest of the book mentally prepared and trying to detatch myself but it didn't help. 3
Oh, I think Soren would be brilliant. Although I was sad about how upset he was about taking Coryn's place. You could tell he didn't want to do it at all, and Soren feels like my best friend so it's like, "Oh, Soren, don't be sad! D: " I read this amazing fanfic that settled my mind, though, col. ("churring out loud". I like to use that now )

Sorry to hop in on the conversation so late, but same. For me, the saddest death was Dustytuft, of Phillip.

Thank you!! I kept Strix Struma and Otulissa as Spotted Owls like they're supposed to be, instead of how they were Short-eared Owls in the movie (darn movie)

Yes, I noticed that! That's definitely one of the big issues I have with the movie. xD;
