Trees forming an archway on a path at Cache Creek Nature Preserve. This was a beautiful site we happened upon while on a drive. Very greatful we found this place!!Related content

Very calm, quiet place to walk.

We were walking along this beautiful quiet pathway and we went under this tree arch. It wasn't as complete from the other side, but something made me turn around and look behind me!

No. But my boyfriend is half and half Italian.

I have alot of things in me, but the largest is Irish we think. I am English, Irish, Scott, Dutch, Russian (as far as we know).
And my boyfriend was raised part of the time on or near the reservation.

What state/country is this growing in?
What type of tree is it?
It reminds of of the live oaks found in Texas.

This is California and I believe that is a California Scrub Oak. Probably about the same thing!

Yes I believe they are pretty much the same. They are lovely interesting trees, aren't they! Need lots of room to grow so they can stretch out to their proper glory.
