This is my depiction of MechaGodzilla in the Monsterverse. It's essentially a living battleship created by humans with the help of a new advance alien tech that's built on top of the bones of a particularly large individual from the Godzilla species as its base foundation after discovering it to be surprisingly tough despite its age.Related content

My favorite is still Kiryu. The one from Ready Player One was okay. I kind of wish they stuck with the original design like the other characters, but what we got is still pretty good.

very cool. I was thinking a real skeleton inside mechagodzilla forsupport for the legendary monsterverse would be the most realistic reason for them to make a robo version of godzilla, shaped like him and all. Very cool. If he ever does appear I hope he has some big guns to bear, like the millennium version of mechagodzilla. Maybe dropped in from orbit to attach sort of like hulkbuster armor that snaps onto him somehow.

The best version of Mechagodzilla I've ever seen was in Ready Player One. Like in terms of Americanization and modernization, the artists did such a good job with designing him in that movie.

That one was well designed, but I still preferred Kiryu. The one in RPO was a retro redesign of the showa era with a more realistic take, which is nice, but I wished they'd either stuck with the original or completely modernize it, instead, the tech has a 70s scifi look to it. What we got was still pretty damn cool though.

Looks and sound a lot like the MechaGodzilla II, which was a piloted mecha made with tech from Mecha King Ghidorah. Who was rebuilt by humans from the future for some reason. The "Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla II" is probably my favorite godzilla movie to date, though I must admit I haven't seen a whole lot of the older ones. I like the thing with the bones. The nerds can suspend their disbelief at the blatant disregard to the squared-cubed law a bit more.

The story and look of this character were inspired by all the past MechaGodzilla. The first one was Alien tech, the second one was future tech retrofitted to a new machine, and Kiryu was built on Godzilla bones. The anime and the Ready Player One MGs inspired some of the details. haha We got 400 ft beast walking around. Suspending belief is too hard after that fact, but it's still nice for it to "seem" plausible.

Nature is a lot more creative than mankind. I'm sure that if there was a reason to have fire breathing lizards the size of twenty some whales, she'd get it done. Maybe the things are a lot more hot air than they seem? The only thing that I can think of for tech to do that though, is gravitational dampening. And that should be pretty power hungry even if we assume 99.9% energy efficiency (around twice anything we know of). So it would need one crazy docking system. Because once it powers down, the metal should splinter, possibly melt from pressure, and collapse. leaving maybe the head and some fractured shoulders left atop a massive pile of scrap and slag. I might actually pay to see that. So really, they should be working on more of those plasma beam things that was housed in the stomach of MG2. Just throw that on a satellite or ten and your golden! Not sure what I'm yammering about though, cause the mecha/monster fights are pretty cool. Who wants to see Godzilla killed by a beam from the sky? I'll just work on that myself in case a real sea dragon jumps onto a city. Or for when my neighbors keep me up because they're partying.
