I think he was being all moody again and turned to walk away, and his swishy swish cape got all tied around his feet and he fell down the stairs. And broke his arm.

I would say he either got it caught in his big whooshing cape while attempting some badassery or maybe from shooting a freaking shotgun with one hand. Anyone else remember him hopping on up and holding up whatever weapon he had be it pistol or freaking shotgun and shooting it holding it in one hand which was the one that was most definitely human Yeah, good form.

He got depressed about something and went to the 7th heaven for a little drink and ended up getting really drunk and got in a bar fight with yuffie about how pointy his shoes are.

He was at a bull fight. His red billowing cape pissed off the bull and it charged at him and ran over his arm. After a trip from the emergency room Vincent heard "the call of nature" and went to the bathroom. Forgetting that his good arm is in a cast he sits there unsure of what to do.
Thats all I could think of.
btw i love his whistling face.

Took a vote in my house and among my friends. Came up with the following top four:
1) Paragliding in a hurricane: [link]
2) A Ministry of Silly Walks skit gone horribly wrong, ending in a backwards fall down a subway staircase
3) Accidentally sliding across a tile floor on Tupperware lids (from a true story)
or, my favorite, and i quote:
4) "Fucking manatee falls from the SKY!! He has to be minding his own business, like, licking an ice cream cone, and the manatee has to just.... fucking FALL on him."
Still working on how the manatee became airborne, will get back to you on that.

I know exactly how he broke his arm.
See, he was standing in the street when a car almost ran him over, so he jumped out of the way but his cape got stuck in the mirror and so he was being dragged along the side of the car when all of the sudden he hits a pole. Luckily, he's now free from being dragged on the ground by car. Unluckily, he's also dirty. Of course, Vincent can't be seen in dirty clothes, So, he has to dry-clean his cape but there's not place nearby. so he just hides in an alleyway where no one can see him (What if fangirls come along? They'll see him... UNCLEAN 
And THATβS how Vincent broke his arm.
