W.D. Gaster is the father of Sans and Papyrus. He was the former Royal Scientist before he disappeared. He is a kind and admirable... skeleton? A good father to both his sons, and he's got a good sense of humor which Sans seems to have inherited from him. He's a bit crazy with his work and he tends to overdo things in his lab which resulted in many cracks and damages to his frame, even getting prostetic hands as a result. Gaster may look young and short but he's actually in his 40's - this was because he spent less time outdoors when he was a child.
