Good gracious, it's not an editted picture
But I'm still not done ^.^;; This was made in Korea and is kinda old. Dedication for this picture: ~ferus cause I was looking at her inspiring mermaid pictures. AND! ~kmkflamingo cause I requested a mermaid picture from her and so I decided to make one myself 
I don't really like this picture as much as I did before. And yes, I made the bg simple to T R Y and make the mermaid stand out more. Pencil for sketching
