Hi Diane. The move seems more or less under control. The house looks messy but I think it's basically all packed for the movers to come on November 24. We've put a lot of stuff in storage and in fact went too far - I had to go rescue two cooking pans this afternoon and bring them back.
The election, yeah. Not good. My biggest fear is that Obama was use the excuse of bipartisanship to sign some stuff passed by Republicans rather than veto it. We are a long way down a bad path. Beverly said to me, how do the Republicans win when their positions are at odds with the real majority of Americans? But they do. They gerrymander, they lie, they suppress the vote.
One ray of light - here in PA we tossed incumbent Republican governor Corbett out on his ear after one term and voted in Tom Wolf, who seems like a really good guy. Corbett was wildly unpopular, I don't know how he ever got into office.

They say, and I forgot who, that there are a lot more votes cast for democrats than republicans, because of all the rigging they don't count. Popular vote would make a difference. It is still sad to see that so many people don't have the whole picture and continue to vote against their own interest. I was glad to see Corbett tossed and really disappointed that Scot Walker wasn't tossed.

Yeah, a real shame about Walker. If ever a governor deserved to lose, it was him.
