Description
Whilst working on canvas commisions, I really felt... stuck. I didn't feel challenged at all and working with the same old subject matter really didn't help ( mostly big cats). I really wasn't feeling passionate or expressive and it started to show in my art.So, I stopped and set up a new canvas.
I needed a fresh change; something to engage me. Scouring the very ends of the internet, I found an amazing photo that I instantly connected with. I felt the sheer power and intensity of the orca. Something that I would love to illustrate on a canvas. So without further or do, I present you "Exhale!"
I wanted a challenge? I certainly recieved one...
My mortal enemies with acrylics are water surfaces and splashes. And it turns out that they were the main aspects of the photograph.
I'm quite happy with the end result though, and I certainly did learn alot!
Hope you enjoy <3
