Description
Dont trust me when I go quiet. It means I'm plotting something - specifically this beast of a reference sheet for my boy!! DAMN this nearly killed me, especially cause I'm still on limited work with my hand and my course ; - ; I've literally been working on this for a month... 200 layers, lord knows how many hours. He's not getting another ref sheet for at least 3 years now.

Onto more about the actual piece - I felt he needed something new, I've been drawing him entirely differently to his original design reference in terms of his anatomy, facial and muscle structure, and even some of his exact markings. So high time he got a precise reference sheet! On a note about his anatomy: it is studied not just observed. What I mean by that is he's been built from the skeleton up to actually 'work' as an animal  (and more importantly for the actions he has to perform in his story ywy/) using references and life drawing/studies I've done from living animals including cats, dogs, bears (zoo), and ferrets. He has had alot of time and effort poured into getting his musculature and skeletal anatomy as correct as I can feasibly get it with my current skill level. Hence the musculature diagram on this ref sheet is highly specific - more on that later.

SO WITHOUT FURTHER ADO - Djinn's personality is released and below, his backstory still stays with me however - ENJOY uWu/

P.s - there is only 1 premade texture used in this piece, that being a paper texture over some of the sheets - everything else is hand rendered.

Hidden Detail:
- Sclera in his eyes does not always need to be showing, when he's sleepy or relaxed it can be hidden entirely
   - His tabby markings are always symmetrical
   - Can have a cuff earring in his left ear, if he's being an edgy child

Basic Personality: While rather intense in some of his emotions, Djinn is ultimately a laid back soul with a sometimes even nonchalant attitude. Secure in himself and prepared to accept things he cannot change, Djinn does however have an inherited, vicious drive to succeed which can sometimes come as a rather jarring juxtaposition to his usually laid back, happy attitude - causing him to completely loose his temper on occasions. Whereas normally achieving this is relatively difficult. He has the potential to be somewhat of an asshole, whether this entirely intentional is unknown - especially in his rather unsteady relationship with his twin, who's opposing set of personality traits paired with their shared personal goal can cause some serious sparks to fly.

Need to Know Facts:

- Is mildly Dyslexic - meaning he has a serious problem with certain academic subjects, especially with maths but this also crosses over into his ability to write and understand complex rules associated with proper written grammar, which is already hampered by his general anatomy and ability to hold a pen correctly. It does not however, affect his problem-solving ability and general intelligence, which remains startlingly high.
- Can get very annoyed when his apparent lack of book smarts is made fun of - call him stupid and you're gonna get a hook-clawed bitch slap.
- Was a very clingy babba as a baby, this has manifested in him being a serious Mummy & Daddy's boy, much to the irritation of his sister.
- Highly, highly capable in close combat, where his fire, claws, teeth and overall size give him a massive advantage - but can adapt to mid-range combat using his 10' long tail and a devastatingly effective weapon.
- Very secure in his emotions, he's not afraid to cry when he's upset.
- Likes to think he's an edgy child - he's not, he's a soft boy who sometimes happens to look like a complete badass.
- Has night vision similar to a cats, his corneas reflect blue or green in the dark.
- Very close to his family and loves them, despite his friction with his sister he still loves her deeply.
- While his attacks in a fight may seem to be mostly based on brute strength and ferocity, they are actually always carefully calculated - what he lacks in academic ability he makes up for in sheer mental agility and problem solving.
-Though his legs are not adapted for long distance running at top speed, his massive lung capacity makes him gives him heightened (insane) endurance as he does not need to respire anaerobically (he doesn't get out of breath because he's always supplying his muscles with enough oxygen even when doing high impact exercise) - making him able to pull weights of up to 300 tonnes on wheels (so a large aircraft) and drag without wheels up to 40 tonnes (boulder, rock or overturned vehicle etc - he strong)
- Please ask before hugging and disappearing into his floof or booping his snoot, it's only polite ywy
- Though he may be grudging about it at times, he will always fight to keep those in weaker than him and in danger safe - his thick defensive fur, animal strength and resistance to extreme heat making him nothing short of a human shield.
- Is technically quadrupedal but his front legs are well adapted to perform Bipedal tasks - he can do practically everything a human can with practice.

General Knowledge:

- He eats alot, especially foods rich in magnesium. Has a love of baked goods, inherited from his mum.
- Is actually fully omnivorous but has to be really coaxed into eating any kind of vegetable without the addition of large quantities of meat, salt or sugar to mask its healthiness.
- He has a slight intolerance to dairy and the chemicals and fats involved in processed foods. Foods high in chemicals and artificial flavorings, saturated fats or overly acidic food may well make him a little poorly. Really he should stick to a natural diet similar to a bears.... But he wont.
- Has immense difficulty using standard cutlery and crockery, seems to just about cope with chopsticks but pretty much eats everything out of a bowl
- Not naturally a morning person
- Wears clothes as a matter of social normality and out of habit, not because he needs them (REF TO FOLLOW)
- Has always had trouble talking with any degree of eloquence, though his tongue is very human like his teeth and lips make it hard to pronounce words correctly so it takes practice - he was around 5 before he was able to communicate effectively via speech, leading him to be quite clingy to his mother and father - who were able to communicate with him via telepathy, referred to as a 'Mind-Link'
- Is better at showing his emotions through actions that well articulated words - expect a hug if he's saying sorry
- Loves all dragons in popular culture and media, and will back them over any other character, especially if they are the villain because he feels they are merely misrepresented <3
