I was out of my element when trying to make this picture, but I tried anyways...For this one, I would love some constructive criticism. I tried to make it super cute, but I just have a hard time trying to make it work. On the plus side, I figured out how to make glossy irises! So, at least I learned something while trying to make this.

I just double-checked, you are right that it is a lighter tan in the game. I had used the CoCo release pictures as a reference, way back when they were first announced.
I also probably shaded the tail too dark compared to the collar. Thanks for pointing it out to me, I'll make sure to watch the tail's color in the future.

I like all of them, but I am picking Popplio. I always go with Water for my starter, at least for my first run.

To be fair, the water starter has been the coolest over the past couple gens. Gen 4 is always a tossup for me between Chimchar and Piplup. The rest are a no brainer choice, imo

They have been great. I even used Mudkip for my Nuzlocke challenge, he was awesome.
So many use fire as their starter and I don't blame them. They have some cool ones too, not to mention that fire is hard to find in some games...

There are some cool Fire pokemon. I don't usually have them on my team, but I had a good one for my old Platinum team. Brought up a Blaziken from my Sapphire game and kicked out Rapidash.

Yeah. Rapidash doesn't really learn any good fire moves in the older gens, and with single use TMs...

Yeah, it was definitely the weakest on my team. But I was still new to the series, so she lasted until I got through Sapphire and traded up.

Yeah. Then again, my team isn't exactly tournament ready either. I kept getting destroyed by the Fighting Gym in X/Y, the Hawlucha's attacks was super-effective against my entire team and always had first priority.
