Well, these are children. They might have to repeat rules 2 and 3 just to try and keep the noise down...
Perhaps rule 8 is the reason, that or the animatronics really don't like the Night Guard's uniform.

I guess that would be a reason
as for the uniform, that kind of makes sense: the animatronics attack the guard because they think he's the Purple Guy (they didn't see his face; all they know is that he wore purple)

EbonyShroud In reply to Darkdealer65 [2016-08-31 16:34:59 +0000 UTC]
All adults would be at risk, since they would probably assume the Purple Guy would just change uniform to avoid being noticed.

not sure about that

They were lured by an adult in a Fazbear suit, anyone in uniform there is suspect.

exactly
as I said, the kids never saw his face (all they know is that he wore purple)

What Scott needs to do is confirm what the Player Character is wearing. I can imagine most of the staff would wear purple, but the night guard might be one of the few who would wear a traditional blue security uniform.

somehow, I doubt he'll ever do that
maybe the movie will, but who knows?

Yeah...
Oh, I totally forgot that the movie was still a thing!

from the director of "Monster House", the producer of "The Lego Movie"Β and animatronics by the Jim Henson Creature Shop
here's hoping it'll be good (or at least tolerable, considering how video game film adaptations end up faring)

EbonyShroud In reply to Darkdealer65 [2016-08-31 17:09:06 +0000 UTC]
Well, at least the animatronics will look nice! I bet the movie will be non-canon like the book is, though...
I hope so too. It would be so disappointing if it bombed.
π: 0 β©: 1
Darkdealer65 In reply to EbonyShroud [2016-08-31 17:25:32 +0000 UTC]
the animatronics will be done right
the movie will take place in the canon of the games (from what I've heard)
financially, it should be a moderate success at the very leastΒ (critically, I can only hope it breaks the "curse" that causes every game-based movie to be a failure)
π: 0 β©: 1
EbonyShroud In reply to Darkdealer65 [2016-08-31 17:29:18 +0000 UTC]
Oh, it will be considered canon? Excellent, we can enjoy the cries of the fandom when their head-canon is disproved!
Yeah, it will make some money just from the fans going to see the animatronics in action.

Darkdealer65 In reply to EbonyShroud [2016-08-31 17:39:17 +0000 UTC]
I heard it was going to be canon (not entirely sure yet)
as for the animatronics being brought to life, someone named Dr. CreepyPasta did that already

We will see once it gets closer to release. I think Scott talked about the book's status after it was published.
Those guys are pretty cool, not going to lie. But animatronics created by the Jim Henson Creature Shop are going to be pretty amazing.

Darkdealer65 In reply to EbonyShroud [2016-08-31 17:51:06 +0000 UTC]
Scott said that the book and the game should be treated as separate continuities
and yeah, the Jim Henson ones should be awesome
π: 0 β©: 1
EbonyShroud In reply to Darkdealer65 [2016-08-31 17:53:39 +0000 UTC]
I know.
I wonder how tall they will be? I always pictured the animatronics to be pretty tall.
π: 0 β©: 1
Darkdealer65 In reply to EbonyShroud [2016-08-31 19:02:22 +0000 UTC]
considering they stuff guards into the costumes, probably human-sized
π: 0 β©: 1
EbonyShroud In reply to Darkdealer65 [2016-08-31 19:11:16 +0000 UTC]
Well, yeah, but they could be pretty big. I always imagine them around 6-7 feet tall. The Old Animatronics from FNAF 2 are like giants, towering over the desk.
π: 0 β©: 1
Darkdealer65 In reply to EbonyShroud [2016-08-31 19:14:04 +0000 UTC]
that's because the guard is sitting down
π: 0 β©: 1
EbonyShroud In reply to Darkdealer65 [2016-08-31 19:21:19 +0000 UTC]
Still, most desks are waist-high. That's a pretty good indicator at how tall your death is.
Plus, you can tell their height with the stuff around them as a reference.
π: 0 β©: 1
Darkdealer65 In reply to EbonyShroud [2016-08-31 19:24:30 +0000 UTC]
everything looks taller when you're sitting down
besides, it's implied that Jeremy (the guard in FNAF2) is (most likely)Β in high schoolΒ because Phone guy welcomes him to a "summer job" on night one
π: 0 β©: 1
EbonyShroud In reply to Darkdealer65 [2016-08-31 19:43:05 +0000 UTC]
It does, but not by much. Withered Bonnie looks like he would hit his head walking into the office, I would imagine most people walking into the office are not afraid of hitting their head on the door.
I would say college, no one would put a teenage boy in charge of the night shift. It's not like the first game, where they didn't care what happened to the night guards so long as the bodies were cleaned up.
π: 0 β©: 1
Darkdealer65 In reply to EbonyShroud [2016-08-31 19:52:43 +0000 UTC]
okay, so the old models are about 7 feet tall
I'd sayΒ Jeremy is between 17 or 18

EbonyShroud In reply to Darkdealer65 [2016-08-31 20:03:41 +0000 UTC]
I suppose that's a little better, but I would imagine high schoolers would make poor security guards. They might wander about and scribble all over BB's face.

somehow, I imagine the light is connected to a plug, which connects to the battery, which is somewhere in the maintenance room
BB probably pulls the plug

EbonyShroud In reply to Darkdealer65 [2016-09-01 04:22:42 +0000 UTC]
Still makes him a jerk.
You would think he would search for a way to completely turn off the power to the building. No cameras or vent lights, no way to defend against the rest of the crew.

Darkdealer65 In reply to EbonyShroud [2016-09-01 04:23:23 +0000 UTC]

Darkdealer65 In reply to EbonyShroud [2016-09-01 17:33:38 +0000 UTC]
BB doesn't have fingers
plus I highly doubt the animatronics would be programmed to know where to look
π: 0 β©: 1
EbonyShroud In reply to Darkdealer65 [2016-09-01 17:50:14 +0000 UTC]
BB isn't programed to sneak into the office without being spotted by the cameras, so I think there is some leeway.
π: 0 β©: 1
Darkdealer65 In reply to EbonyShroud [2016-09-01 19:06:37 +0000 UTC]
he's short, so the cameras probably can't see him (I believe this also explains why we don't know where Toy Chica puts her eyes and beak when she leaves the stage)
π: 0 β©: 1
EbonyShroud In reply to Darkdealer65 [2016-09-02 00:13:37 +0000 UTC]
Or she can tell where the cameras are facing. The animatronics do like to stare into the cameras.
