This looks awesome! ;D Just like in the game!
I remember so often while I was playing the game, and I'd accidentally click "read" with the book of death. One cannot rush with "The Witch's House"! XD

Thank you.

Yeah, it's very easy to click incorrectly and die over and over, kind of like trying to skip past Kaepora Gaebora from LoZ. One wrong click and you get to redo the speech all over...

You're welcome! ^^
Yeah, I have a bad habit of wanting to rush the tedious stuff, that often happens to me with dialogue in games. XD

I don't mind most dialogue, unless its a massive exposition dump right before a boss battle. Then it gets annoying when you have to redo the dialogue every single time you die.

Yeah, I also find it annoying if you're replaying a game and you have to redo all of the plot dialogue again before you can even do something or if you're given a task by a character and you accidentally interact with them again repeating the whole conversationΒ (happened so often while I was playing Five Nights At F**kboy's).

Or when you have to pass speech checks, those are the worst. I was almost done with Knights of the Old Republic 2 and kept getting trounced by Darth Sion. You had to pass speech checks during the fight to weaken him, but each speech check would halt the fight and then start it up with his health fully restored.

I gave up and restarted the entire game in the hopes of having better stats when I fought him the next time.

Wow, that really sucks! I'm glad I never played a game where you had to do speech checks to defeat a boss (and have that fail)! Although there have been times where it seems like the strategies people use never work for me.

You could technically beat him without passing the speech checks, it is just a lot harder.

Yeah, it sucks when game makers make things too frustrating. Sometimes it seems like they forget that games are supposed to be fun...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

EbonyShroud In reply to WachayWabush [2016-04-18 20:57:26 +0000 UTC]

I guess it would all depend on the game. Some games were made to be difficult, such as I Wanna Be the Guy or Dwarf Fortress.

Yeah, with Megaman (original, X, and Zero), it seems like the game-makers take pleasure in making the game unbelievably difficult and finicky. It drove my siblings and I nuts. They're fun games, but sometimes they get to a ridiculous level.

EbonyShroud In reply to WachayWabush [2016-04-21 20:10:21 +0000 UTC]

Oh dear, Megaman. I have a weird relationship with that series. A friend got me into the games and while it can be fun, some of it can get just weird. Also, I have some questions regarding some of the color choices. Craft was a big "What The..." moment the minute I saw his design.

WachayWabush In reply to EbonyShroud [2016-04-25 20:03:51 +0000 UTC]

Cool! You've heard of the Megaman games too? My siblings and I thought we were one of the only ones in the FNAF fandom who were into Megaman too! Yeah, Kraft has a pretty wacky design (like, the bright green, teal, red and yellow...What the heck?). But for me, I was shocked by Nightmare Zero's colour scheme (they look like highlighter colours)Β and Phantom's helmet. It looks like a boomerang. But don't get me started on Dr. Wile... The Megaman characters have some of theΒ most peculiar designs.Β

EbonyShroud In reply to WachayWabush [2016-04-25 20:20:16 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, plenty of people know of the Megaman series. However, FNAF and Megaman are not exactly good for crossovers, so it would be difficult to know.

I think they designed it that way to stand out. When you compare it to other known games, it is easy to know what franchise they are associated with.

WachayWabush In reply to EbonyShroud [2016-05-05 19:42:41 +0000 UTC]

A crossover might be interesting, but you'd have to be careful with that.
Yeah, and that the way each character is distinguishable. I just sometimes wonder where they get the ideas. XD

You definitely get picky with age. I recently cleared my bookshelf of a lot of the art books aimed for teenagers. Barely any of it had any useful tips or advice for artists, just those "Draw this!" instructions.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AncientDragoness In reply to EbonyShroud [2016-02-08 18:27:00 +0000 UTC]

Oh definitely. I suppose that's why there's a 'teen' section in the library

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

EbonyShroud In reply to AncientDragoness [2016-02-08 18:40:14 +0000 UTC]

Teen books were definitely a hit or miss section; you either found something really interesting or really boring/weird. There were way too many romances for my taste, though.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AncientDragoness In reply to EbonyShroud [2016-02-09 01:25:41 +0000 UTC]

I like a good romantic subplot, but not if it takes over. If I wanna read that, I'll look up the genre.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

EbonyShroud In reply to AncientDragoness [2016-02-09 02:26:17 +0000 UTC]

I understand. I mean, I have nothing against romance. However, so many times it becomes the main focus and utterly derails the plot.

That's also why I always double-check books too. I once bought eight books from what I assumed was a mystery series. It turned out to be mostly romantic/erotic with a tiny mediocre mystery thread to use for a plot. I never made that mistake again.

AncientDragoness In reply to EbonyShroud [2016-02-09 14:26:19 +0000 UTC]

That it does.

Oh god! That would be horrific, and a waste of money...!

EbonyShroud In reply to AncientDragoness [2016-02-09 14:33:31 +0000 UTC]

The money went to the local library, so it wasn't a total waste. But I did bring it immediately to a second-hand book store and sold them.
