Description This is more of a tutorial how I do it so sorry in advance if some of the techniques seem ineffective for you.

My pc often hangs when using Photoshop (which I only use to apply textures and texts actually) so I found a way to apply textures using Paint Tool SAI...and now my life's become much easier.

Here's how to apply texture in SAI by using the method I mentioned in the intro:

Just to be sure as I'm new to SAI - you can NOT import the texture?    You have to copy & paste it from another SAI document?

Just checking.

Thx for taking the time to assemble this tute, btw.

okay, but how to put textures only in parts of the picture? like adding paper-texture on a piece of paper a character holds on so....?

if you are coloring the parts in separate layers, just paste the texture above the layer of the coloring of the paper, the click clipping group. here's a quick reference. [link] hope that helps! :3

(or just in case you're applying texture to a flat image, use magic wand to select the object then cut...or just erase, I guess.)
