The pups get the older wolves to regurgitate food for them, so all the snarling is just them talking, because sometimes the older wolves don't want to give up more of their food, but the pups just shove their heads right in there to get them to regurgitate.Related content

In a way, both Maya and Wiley were putting them in their place a little bit, but mainly it was only to try and keep some of the meat for themselves. In the end, they gave almost all of it away.
