Ulises doing a siding bow to get ready for a vertical spin in the middle of the pool. I think this has to be my favorite photo of him from my last trip!Taken before One Ocean at SeaWorld San Diego on 12/19/12.

No, it has to do with reduced water pressure against the fin causing the collagen to weaken. It's not an indicator of poor health and does not impact the whale negatively. They manage to get along.
