there's a bit a story behind making this

it all started during the process of making my part in a group project, led by Azores-1994 , and I brought up GC concept art's work on a UNSC infantryman. I had gone with the artist's description, going with saying the character art was a Marine... however, several people in the group pointed out that the "marine" was holding a UNSC Army-Issue MA37, and had a distinctive Cav patch-- also seen on UNSC Army Troopers in Halo: Reach--... so I was a little bummed out. then I decided to go and make some photoshop edits to make it more lore-accurate if it's gonna be a Marine.

I spent about 2 days on google images looking for a good picture of a MA5C to put in there, eventually finding bagera's MA5C art. So, with not much else to work with, and his rifle being the best I've found that could match the artstyle of GC Concept's work, I tweaked the rifle a bit, and then removed the background on it.

once I had unconventionally made the right hand of the grunt pop out over the rifle, I threw in some various colored shapes to blot out the MA37 that wasn't already covered by the MA5C. I covered the cav patch, and put the unsc marine insignia over it.

then I decided to take part of GC Concept's UNSC Close Quarters art-- the helmet attachment-- and put that in, too.

and here I am. all finished.

I plan on posting a screenshot of each image and shape used, similar to what I did with my Battlefield 2042 Marine photoshop work. I hope you guys enjoyed it, and thank you to GC Concepts and bagera for being an inspiration. seriously, thank you guys.
