It uses a ton of energy for Solaris to create a portal to another AU...whether on purpose or by accident like they did to get to Epictale. When their energy is very low their hair and eyes darken in color. It's actually pretty incredible they lasted as long as they did after winding up in the au.

Also Noise is fiercely protective of Solaris when they're in their doll form...since it's not all that difficult to destroy that form...and because of how his dad used to experiment on that form.
