Perhaps it'd because he knows his own signature (or his ghost sense does) and anything else that's different is what triggers it? (Though if I remember right he doesn't sense Vlad ever either when he's gone ghost mode. He DEFINITELY never senses Daniel. Maybe it's the human in them?)

Korra was good, but there's a lot about it that fell really short. Mako's a tool, the non benders plight is mentioned once and then forgotten about, the women are.. everything comes down to being a man's arm candy pretty much. The ending was... not so great. I was disappointed. There were a lot of things that could have happened but everything happened to easily. Everyone got their bending back, Korra and Mako hooked up in the easiest way possible, Korra got in touch with her Avatar state (and apparently mastered it?) and met her past lives, Amon was gone for good etc. A lot of these things would have been better if they had been resolved in season 2 or 3 tbh. It's like, what are you going to even do now with Season 2? :/ They kind of finished off almost everything they started in Season 1, leaving little to continue on in Season 2 (other than Katara's possible death, idk that seems to be coming soon since there were predictions about it in TLA). Too much happened too fast and was resolved really quickly. It's a mess.
But I digress.
There is a lot I could go on about but it just fell really short of my expectations, and I haven't even seen the all of Season 1 of The Last Airbender yet so I'm not going to be all "it wasn't as good as Aang's arc/ Aang's story was better" blah blah blah whatever but from what I do know and as far as shows and their plots go this was almost terrible. The art and animation were good though. The action was nice too. I liked Asami, and that she didn't turn out to be evil like her dad. Serious props to everyone for that. The love triangle she had with Mako and Korra was the worst. Good lord why was that even neccessary? Arm candy. Arm candy everywhere.
