Hell, why didn't anyone tell me how fun making comics are? I've been binge drawing them all day.
Basically a genderbent Jade. She... he, it? will be taking full advantage of this while the opporunity's still there..

I do knnow a few girls named Danny, too. *high five* I' have genderbent Danny xD Never did get around to coloring the sketch though. I think... if he were a girl he wouldn't be Danielle (it's so overused in the fandom and rather unoriginal now) but maybe Dana or Darcy. Just like Sam wouldn't be Samuel but Samson or some other Herbew name because of her family's faith (Samantha is a Jewish name). Yeah...

Sam was boyish enough xD But adding a friend that was of opposite gender adds some diversity I guess. As great as Sam may have been as a male it would have changed everything completely. She'd still (likely) be an intolerable self-important bitch but she (as a female) plays a big part in everything. Also, being the female of the trio is something young kids who watched the show can look up to. She seems like a strong, independent young woman. Maybe a role model.

The only thing I do like about Sam is that she never really got kidnapped and when she did she could take care of herself she wasn't a dumb-ass in distress. I do agree Sam at many points an intolerable self-important bitch which kind of made her unlike able.
Now Danny as a girl would have made things more interesting and maybe she would have had talents instead of being the angsty teen who plays hero. Danny really doesn't have any talents other then the ghost powers, heck maybe Danny could have been a dancer or something instead of just being there.
I want my hero to have some talent other then the super hero powers. I know Danny wants to be an astornut but he really doesn't try that hard (from what I remember from the show I just got back into it by accident but I'm happy) to make that dream come true.

Danny would have made an awesome girl xD Alas, cartoons like this (especially ones that were meant for young boys) tend to have a male lead. The show probably wouldn't have been TOO different if Danny were gender swapped but there'd still be some major changes going on there to accommodate. I would have loved to see Danny display some talents. We know he can sort of dance (from Masters of Time) and he can build scale models, but what about his other skills? It's safe to say Sam knows how to dance, play the piano and all that stuff because of her parents and their high class status, and that Tucker cannot sing, dance or... well he's not even that good at math (you can see his grades in What You Want). All he's really got going for him is the technology. But I'm straying from the point a little.
Yes, he did want to be an astronaut but with ghost fighting where was the time to prepare? Also his half ghost DNA. How would he pass the blood tests? Once ghost fighting consumed him he probably realized NASA was something he could dream for but never really have. A pipe dream. If he never got his ghost powers he may have pushed for it, but we can never really know for certain.

I've had a few ideas but I can't get my mind around them mainly because its been forever since I've seen the show so really I'm gonna need your help you on characters and stuff. So the main idea is an AU world (it makes it easier)
Dan X Female Danny + someone else (Dash or Vlad or who ever) xDanny (humans only or ghost humans might make it easier)
So here's the idea: Danny is feeling unloved until she meets Dan and he begins to manipulate her into falling in love but he is a cult leader and gets Danny to go and live with him and become his bride. But Vlad has someone who is watching Danny (cause we all know he does) and has someone kidnap Danny to save her and bring her some where safe.
Its something like that

I think the cult should, perhaps, consist of the 'ghosts'. Danny is lured into it because in someway she shares something with them as well as Dan manipulating her. Maybe the other pairing would be VladxDanny? *ponder*
This is a pretty good plot. If we're working on this together would you write it and send it to me afterwards to beta or something? or we could send the files back and forth as we go and discuss idea's here and there. This story will certainly take some research though. Like what kind of cult is it? That is a very important key. Once that is decided we can construct the one in the story to match up with and seem like a real cult.

like I said its been forever since I saw the cartoon so I'll help as much as I can with characters but I can help with the research parts heck I'll start now on that part. Like I said I'll help as much as I can with characters, and I'll do a lot of research and help develop the idea. I do think it might help to send things back and forth, but we can work that out later.

ok so what I've found is a lot of definitions of cults and a small bit of cults. The first link has a majority of cults, what we can do is use some of them here and there and make one up ourselves. Starting tomorrow would be cool, starting I would mainly see Danny being alone more and more and feeling hopeless when a new guy Dan who discuses himself as a human begin to make his move on Danny. (something along those lines)

I agree with you on all your points. Character development is really important to me because you know after watching a lot of anime and reading fan fiction I want my characters to be developed.
