Description
I amaze myself with my inability to draw Danny -.- His arm looks stupid. I should have just let it go down. I guess it could be a 'ready to defend' mode?
Hm. This might be how they meet. Lee see's the boy that she believes is the talk of the Ghost Zone and human world (well, Amity Park) and decides to use the opportunity to her advantage. They really don't get along though; major disagreement on morals.

Your good at this, although Danny's head and chin is a little too big. Through of your first time, practice makes master and look at you now: You can do anything.

Well, since you keep practicing, then you can do ANYTHING.
I sucked at once to draw, but now, I can too.

It's pretty easy actually. It's a little strange at first to have the picture show up on the screen instead of below the 'pencil' but you get used to it fairly quickly.

When you touch the pencil (I think it's actually called a 'pen'... yeah, it's a pen. Whoopsie ) piece to the tablet you just draw on it like you normally would a piece of paper. Mind the more pressure you use the thicker the lines will get, depending on your brush size, it's how people get lines that can go from being thin to thick. The only real difference is that the lines show up on your computer screen in whatever program you use (photoshop, SAI, paint, gimp, etc) instead of on the surface under the pen. It sounds more complicated than it is, trust me.
If you buy a tablet you can open up paint and drag the pen against the tablet and do some practice lines. It only takes a minute or two to figure it out and adjust to the feel of it. I was pretty skeptical of buying one myself. I wanted a tablet but wasn't sure how I'd use it or what it would be like. No one I knew had one and I didn't know of places to ask people that would actually know what using one was like so I jumped in a little blind. But it really is a fantastic drawing tool. If you can afford one, I recommend it.

Well, the one I got was around $145.00 and came with three different paint programs: photoshop, correl and I cannot for the life of me remember the third xD But the price does vary, depending on the countries currancy and what tablet you select. I suggest checking some out at one of your electronics shops.

so if I pressed hard with the pen on a tablet, the line would be hard in the program?

It depends on the brush you use. If your brush is hard, then yes but if the edges are blurred it'll be soft.
I'll show you what I mean:

hard/light shading for DP? like- on their faces

Echoheartx In reply to Phantomfan1001 [2011-01-23 21:59:19 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I suppose so. I usually only do hard lines on my characters. If I want the highlight to blend with the prime skin tone on their faces, clothes etc then I'll use soft.

You use the bush tool to draw what you want to be darker/lighter and you can use the smudge or blur tools to make the colors blend into one another.
