Does this count as Soriel? Sure, why not.I've been thinking a lot about the Neutral Endings lately (mostly Empress Undyne tbh >u> ). None of them were happy endings, obviously, but in one Sans literally leaves everything behind to go live in the ruins after losing Papyrus and I just??? Imagine him being so sad and broken while he grabs some new books from the library and asks her to let him into the ruins.
I hope he winds up happy, sharing all those jokes with Tori and eating pie.

This is probably the only timeline besides pacifist where Soriel may be canon.

I literally just finished this ending and I was fangirling the whole time Sans talked.Β
It was a mix of joy for the Soriel and sad for the killing of pap.

In any ending where Paps is dead I feel like this is the best end for Sans. The only downside is that he never tells Tori that the kid killed monsters his brother. At least in the one where she's forced back/exiled into the ruins (when Undyne's alive) she at least knows the monsters were upset because of what the human did and would probably deduce Papyrus was killed by 'em.
Just to wedge that knife in further tho: If Papyrus is alive at the end of the Toriel endingΒ he also accompanies Toriel in the Ruins and even plays games with her. He and Sans sometimes convince her to leave the ruins now and then too.

Honestly, both of those endings are really heart-wrenching. It's just so sad that Toriel was treated that way, and what the skele-bro(s) did to cheer her up. That's on of the reasons that I'm never doing one of those runs again, is because it's so saddening.

The best thing about these two is they play off each other well whether you ship them romantically or not. They're like Toph/Zuko that way, I think.
