DECRIPTION :
  Anzu is a very tall Mahou with witch-like attire. There are stars printed on the underside of her hood, that glow and move around. Her eyes are a similar bright gold shade to her hair, though they're shut when she's using her power.

  Her hair and cloak, when she's in her mahou form, appear to float. (A better description would be the effect of hair and loose clothing when underwater)

  The basics of Anzu's skills are very self-explanatory! As her wish is to carry out her life while still asleep, she can do just that. Anzu will also gain a few buffs. If she were an RPG character, her Strength, Dexterity, and Stamina stats would get a couple extra plus points, which is essentially what makes her skill a little more useful. Since her eyes will be shut, the rest of her senses are heightened (though mainly, her hearing) to compensate for her lost vision.

While using this skill, her body is running on autopilot, though she can micromanage every now and then. Even if she doesn't feel exhausted, her body will rest when it feels worn out. If Anzu tries to speak, most of the time it'll be incoherent, or it won't make sense at all. Just imagine the regular dialogue of a sleeptalker.

Because her eyes are shut, this skill is most effective in places that she knows the layout of. Though her hearing is more sensitive, she can't exactly use echolocation, so running into walls or tripping over furniture is a likely possibility. She could very well injure herself.

Most of the events that take place while she's using her skill will be incorporated into her dreams, but she won't remember much when she wakes up. Anzu's dreams are very obscure, and she can't tell what actually happened from what she had dreamt up. Whenever someone talks, she might hear it, but she won't exactly register the full meaning most of the time. Think of it this way: You're talking to someone who's essentially sleepwalking and on autopilot. Not very effective.

Her abilities are strongest when she's just fallen asleep. If she hasn't completed her objective under ten minutes, her powers will weaken. She'll begin running into furniture or tripping more often, and her physical strength will gradually drop. Eventually, at around thirteen minutes, Anzu will drop to the floor and sleep normally.

Though she's normally impatient and irritable, messing with her games can get her even more riled up than usual.

Normally, Manami is a very lighthearted person! She enjoys making jokes and her imaginative nature could cross the border into childish at times. Manami has no problems with socializing, and rather enjoys it. She's very upbeat and optimistic. Even if she's given a hundred reasons not to be, she'll keep believing in whatever she wants to, right up to the last second. She doesn't think there's any reason not to keep trying unless you really can't.

HISTORY :
    Manami Hachimitsu had lived an average life. She was born into an upper middle class family, and was always a happy child. She didn't have any particularly traumatizing experiences, or anything of that sort. The only thing that would be considered "odd" was her sleeping habits, in which she would sleep for the better part of the day and whenever she could. It never really caused alarm for her parents; it's not like they didn't care, though! They, of course, still loved and cared for her, but as long as she was healthy and satisfied, they would leave her be. And she was, in fact, perfectly fine.

For some reason that's still unknown to Manami, in her last years of middle school and all throughout high school, her friends had taken every chance to forcefully drag her out from the comfort of her bed and into the city. Although a little agitated at the first five or so attempts, they eventually took her to the arcade, where she found her second home in front of a combat game that was popular at the time. Truthfully, at first, Manami really sucked at it! Even so, it was a fun alternative to sleeping, and she found herself steadily climbing up the scoreboard as the weeks went by. It gave her a sort of rush whenever she'd won, and a feeling of wanting to try again whenever she'd lost. She'd gotten herself hooked, really. It was her sort of thrill.

But, of course, there's more to the world of gaming than some dusty fighting game in the corner of a mall arcade. After upgrading her fossil of a flip phone to what would be considered a more modern model, Manami explored the world of applications and mobile games. She eventually got into Mahou Project, a game which had been circulating around her friend group for a while now. As a person who appreciated practicality, Manami abandoned the arcade and enjoyed playing mobile games from the comfort of her bed.

This was the legendary period in her life when she would cut on sleep to play more and more and more! Her usual 10 hours of sleep would dwindle down to 6, then 3. Certainly, it wasn't an uncommon amount (nor was it a healthy one), but it was a drastic change for Manami. She wished that she could be "productive", even as she slept, to miss out on nothing and to have more time without having to sacrifice her precious rest. For her, it hurt to be useless, and she wanted some extra time more than almost anything.

It was around four in the morning on a Sunday when Manami had reached the peak of her exhaustion. She'd been up later than usual to enjoy the weekend. About to put the game down for some much-needed sleep, a message had suddenly appeared on her screen.

  She had just tapped "next" on the first message without completely taking it in. The words "ten percent", "Mahou", and "chosen" flashed in front of her eyes, which was all that she had processed before it disappeared. As a second one popped up with a pop sound effect, Manami was just about ready to close out of that one, too.

  What is your wish?

  Manami was taken aback. She wondered what kind of game would ask that, when she was already a few months into playing it. She thought, that if any game had needed to ask this question at all, wouldn't it be at the beginning? With an irritated sigh and only a fraction of her mind fully running, she had typed "I wish I could do everything while sleeping!" before quickly closing out of the app. She put the incident in the back of her mind, barely thinking about it.

  It was probably nothing anyways, right?
