Born as one of the youngest and last children of Lord Arokh, Brimstone had a destiny as all the Fire-Throat line - to reproduce and recreate the strong line of dragons. Brimstone was born and told that her destiny was to breed to create warriors and to be a great warrior herself, but from the start Brimstone was different. Her mother noticed it early and rejected her daughter, instead her big brother Gurion and one of her father’s other females took on looking after her. Arokh even showed some interest in taking care of her, if only because she was so sweet, but only Gurion really knew that she actually fancied female dragons and would probably never have a male mate.

But things did not go well, a Par Tide was in place for four years but it was basically ended the day that Brimstone’s life was ripped apart.

With her family destroyed in the raid on the Forest of Darkness Brimstone was held captive by some of the remaining followers of dark. Having been chased off she was not present to see Harpian and Garbhan find her father and so they could not save her. She was tortured, possibly raped though the shock from it meant she remembers little and left bleeding to death when she was rescued by Ulalume. Brimstone was taken to Chipewa Ridge by Ulalume and healed up before meeting the other youngsters. She tried very hard to make friends with the other youngsters, only to find that she was drawn to following Gulvardi around. At first she wanted to be her friend, but Gulvardi kept kicking her away. It took a long time for Gulvardi to accept that Brimstone wanted to be a friend and the younger female learnt everything she could about Gulvardi just to try and make conversation.

As they got older, Brimstone had fallen in love with Gulvardi’s tough nature and was very aware that she needed blood and tended to hurt herself when she got stressed from it. So when no one else was available and Brimstone was old enough she forced Gulvardi to drink her blood. They realised then that they were quite alike and soon Brimstone made it her position to look after Gulvardi and give her love and blood when it was needed. However, she always wanted to leave to find out what happened to her beloved big brother, but she rejects the idea of going to her uncle Garbhan in case he rejects her for her love of a female.
When Kincaid arrived Brimstone already knew a little about him from having scarred up her cousin Leif, but she was surprised. Here was one of the first male’s she’d ever met that could take all of their weirdness and strange pasts without fuss and even looked quite handsome. When she finally mentions Gurion to Kincaid though, he revealed that he had killed him –this upsets Brimstone terribly, and it is not until much later on that Kincaid tells her the truth and that Gurion is Zeus’ captive.

Brimstone does not hold against him, but when Leif does arrive looking for Kincaid, Brimstone realises that there could be trouble for her if Leif or Garbhan try to get her a nice mate. Fearful to tell them she is a lesbian dragoness, Brimstone convinces her cousin that Kincaid is her new mate and, understanding her fear, Kincaid agrees to it. Because of it though she has to have children to prove to her uncle that she was not lying and so Gulvardi joins her in mating with Kincaid.

When Brimstone has her three babies it is obvious that she loves Leito more then her daughters, but with Gulvardi constantly at her side the two daughters are never ignored. When the worst happens and Leito is killed, Brimstone goes into a strange depression which is made worse as Ulalume gets ill. Luckily though Brimstone and Gulvardi work through their troubles together and remain as Kincaid and Ulalume’s best friends....

I always think of Brimstone as a bit of a wuss and she says things from time to time that can get Kincaid into trouble with Garbhan, but she's alright. What do you guys think of her?
