Description Running my son through the 1 on 1 adventure module "A Sickness in Silverton " by Expedition Retreat Press, but since it is his first RPG adventure I wanted to do it up a bit above the plain line map included with the module. I made this handout using antiqued paper (computer paper stained with second runnings off the espresso pot) and a quill pen with Higgins ink. It is certainly not perfect, but it is my first effort after many years away from hand drawn maps and quill pen & ink work. The stained computer paper was VERY unforgiving with ink load, bleeding much more than with good art papers, but maybe that adds to the effect. The emblem in the upper right corner is the mark of my gnome bard/chronicler that (in the game world) made the map. Constructive criticism welcomed!

Man dude, those trees! How long did it take to draw all those trees?! Besides the rivers being a tad straight, it looks great
And I think the strained paper looks awesome!

Thanks! The trees did take FOREVER! I worked on it late at night an hour or so for a couple nights, the trees took three sessions to do them all.
I'll have to upload scans of the stained papers I create. A different look from the digitally created ones, not necessarily better, but different.

Thats a damn good forest and a damn fine map!

As for constructive criticism: for me the rivers look a bit to straight, i feel like they should meander more.
