Great concept for the box. I love the finish. I can only imagine the amount of detail and effort put into this little piece. Congratulations on such an exquisite accomplishment.

Lordy, it's beautiful! I love the etched texture of the surface and the simplicity of the design. Very elegant, clean, and modern. Would definitely, DEFINITELY put money into this (as in I'd buy it). If only they sold this kind of thing in Hong Kong...

i love it. man, you have some talent!
...as to the photo:
i hope you value an honest critique (after all, they're just my 'opinions'):
1) nice lighting work and shadow-play!
2) the top left of the box (near the hinge) is too blurry. i don't think you can clean that up enough. i'd retake the shot.
3) you should take down the shadow level and bring up the mid-tones a little - or just de-noise the black.
4) equalizing the color levels will bring out the textures and scratches on the metal and give it a little more texture.
here's a sample: [link] i did it in a few seconds, but you'll see what i mean about the levels.

Beautiful work is it exactly the same design on both side ? Iis the square on the top of it to make it more stable or is it just for the beauty of it ?

Thanks! Yup, same on both sides, and the squares are in fact to keep it from falling over.

Great piece--really looks like the ultimate pillbox due to the shape. Dimensions? Hours into it? Processes? Details--we want DETAILS....

Hmmm.... Let's see.. It's about 2 inches square... I had a woodworker at school make me a dapping block as I couldn't find one big enough... The hinge was done by inserting coat hanger wire (coated in graphite) into the tubing, with a delicate application of yellow ochre between piecesand soldering it on as a unit with the box closed (more yellow ochre between halves of the box) One of the outer tubes (it was 5 pieces!) stuck anyway, so I had so go with only 3. It feels very tight, and i think loos better this way... Wished I'd known about anti firescale!!!! Took me HOURS of sanding to get it off! The trick is: combine alcohol and borax. Touch the flame of your torch to it just to catch it, then let it burn of on its own. Solder away. Hours into it? Countless. I'm sure I could do it again in far fewer. I guess that's why they call it learning! Hmm. That thumb screw was threaded by hand with a tap and die set. Um... Yup! Thanks for the compliment!
