This is Sera the Mage of Darkness ~tiffanyd02 's OC
For `Wen-M 's monthly contest.
I had a lot of fun with this, I got to play with a bunch of the brushes I have accumulated over the past couple years, and I worked really hard to get her expression right. Because besides being having kickass power over darkness and shadows, Sera was betrayed by her twin and cursed to exist only in the darkness. the grief that Sera feels over that was what I really wanted to portray in this piece.

I love, love, love this outfit! and I love even more the expression, her face really does encapsulate her story.
I also love "la terre de cauchemar et de rêve" ie the world you've created inside the darkness, because this is definitely part of it!

Haha I'm so glad you like it 
The world was fun to do because when I read about being trapped in the darkness it brought to ind two things A) a lack of a light source 
So I just started to play around until I got this~

Well you see the thing is she's always lived so every now and then she's evolved her look to "blend into" whatever time period she happens to waltz into (because even hidden in the shadows, where the veil is thin enough you could still see her), so seeing this I can definitely see it as something she'd wear.
And it's really cool, I'm really enamored by that world :3
