info: tired from traveling all over Equestria to inform other regions of Storm King's Defeat, Tempest decided to stay in Ponyville to be the Castle of Friendship's royal guard. Twilight Sparkle thought it was a good idea to reuse her "Lieutenant" rank. Twilight also made her a prosthetic horn as a small gift for her next return.
during a magic dual rematch with Twilight to see how strong they've become, their magic fused together and created Vortex Nebula, a Pegasus filly that can somehow use magic with her wings when she doesn't have a horn.
notes:
since other artists had the idea of a prosthetic horn for Tempest, so I decided to use that idea as well.
also inspired by next gen artists who turn Tempest into a Royal Guard Member, captain or not.
added a new eye ref including editing the eyes so that the scarred eye has a lighter color. don't worry, in my lore her scarred eye has half the vision it used to have before getting scratched.
