. He’s good with technology and is a decent hacker.

. He enjoys reading about Cybertron’s history and folklore.
. One of his closest friends is a random pigionoid that got confused (as they do) and ended up in the ventilation on the Hopper. When Router convinced Galeforce they should keep it he avoided the strange little bird, but after having it follow him around for several deca cycles he’s grown rather attached to it.
Personality:
Most bots would describe Deaftone as moody and sarcastic… which is accurate. He’s not really much of a conversationalist and seems not to enjoy the company of others. However, despite this he does indeed have feelings (contrary to Router’s claims otherwise) He cares about the lives of his companions and others and continues to fight to protect and make a safe world for cybertronian kind.
Weaknesses/flaws:
. Deaftone has a rather blunt and sarcastic way of speaking that is off-putting to most.
. He despises earth’s weather patterns, as the snow, rain, hail, and the like make flying more difficult and unpleasant.
. He does not like “making friends” as most of the friends he’s made have either turned on him or died.
Background:
Deaftone hails from the flier city of Vos where he originally trained as a soldier in one of Vos’s military academies.
When he wasn’t running drills with his unit, he was off on his own, researching coding techniques, or reading about Cybertron’s history.
He originally sided with the Decepticons both during their political phase, and eventually the beginning of their military phase, with hopes that the Decepticons would be able to free Cybertron of the restricting caste system by making the council listen.
Over his time at the academy, he had seen a fair number of bots who didn’t want to be there, and were uninterested in or outright scared of the concept of fighting or killing. There he was content with his lot in life, but he believed it should be their choice. Not something they were forced into.
When most of Vos’s population sided with the Decepticons during their war campaign, he joined as well, still believing that what they were doing was necessary to restore autonomy to their people.
However, after several deca cycles things had escalated. It no longer felt to him like a necessity for peace, but an excuse for violence. After seeing entire neutral settlements reduced to smoking ruble, with their residents either outright killed, or forced at blaster point to join the Decepticon army.
The last nail in the coffin was the murder of one of his close comrades in his unit by their commanding officer, after they refused to kill a neutral civilian who was unarmed.

He traded his Decepticon insignia for an Autobot one, and eventually ended up on team Galeforce, and now travels with them onboard the Hopper as they continue their fight against the various Decepticon sub factions in the galaxy.
