Description
As an apology for being gone so long, I give you an updated version of my fan species: Shadowbugs.

I decided to make their muscles more defined, particularly around the jawline, arms, and legs. I added some extra teeth that these creatures use to rip and tear the flesh of their prey (being one of Irk's carnivorous apex predators). I am letting the jagged outside of the mouth act as rigid keratin "lips" that Shadowbugs use to grab and not let go when they bite down (which combined with their Tyrannosaurus-strength bite makes for a not fun time).

I am actually expanding on the concept by creating several variations of this species: Aquatic, Land-Dwelling, and Tree-Dwelling Shadowbugs. This image specifically depicts the Aquatic/Earth Shadowbug, which has gradually evolved a more human-esc face and more anthropomorphic gait. I gave them an aquatic tail and increased the length of their legs to reflect this. I kept the Shadowbabies roughly the same, albeit made them a bit smaller, added a little aquatic tail, and made them toothless (because you know, most babies don't have teeth). Newborns will now be about 3 feet tall/250 lbs on average and older babies about 6 feet tall/500 lbs on average (big babby!) I will be tweaking and re-uploading the bio to include all varieties of Shadowbug and add more little details (their relationship with primitive Irkens and ancient/modern humans, etc).
