Yeah now that I'm looking at him he dose have a cartoony feel to it but to me the original design also looked kind of cartoony to but none the less he's still a cool kaiju.

True, true. Showa Gamera monsters have had a cartoony aspect to their designs, so I suppose it can't be helped.
