Oh well... after hours of testing... testing... and testing...I have to say this is the best result I have got so far
The Iray preview mode is just so amazing!

So you started tweaking the SSS skin settings manually? : ) Very nice start there! It would be good if you showed two renders under the same lighting conditions with the basic Iray skin shader and the adjustments you made so that the difference would be more apparent, but this picture looks good! : )
