Hello I'm new here. I have been modeling for around two months now, and I'm really enjoying every second of it. I've been trying to learn the character modeling workflow since the start of 2021, but had some failures on some previous models earlier this year. I made a Yunyun model, but I was not that happy with it, and made numerous faults. Still, I'm trying to learn from my mistakes one step at a time.
This Megumin model was something I started in February. I chose her since in my opinion she has an easy design, and I love Konosuba. I made her all from scratch in Blender, starting with a sculpt. After learning how important a good sculpt really is, I focused on the polishing as much as possible. After the sculpt I made sure the retopology was as clean as possible, this time with proper topology in the face. On Megumin I focused on creating details from baking, and baking Normal maps. I also started making procedural shading for various things, like the pattern on the dress. However, I still don't currently have a drawing tablet, something that is really holding me back in terms of adding details.
Let me know what you think of the model and if there is something I should improve on. I'm still learning, and rigging is something I'm gonna learn next. I'll post a picture of the model with a pose soon.
