I'm from , more specifically the weekly comment project.

This is really well done! The atmosphere is perfect for the piece and the lighting complements it very well

The idea of making the background as simple as possible to not take the attention away from the main characters and the struggle they are going though is also a very good one. I do feel like you could've made the borders a bit fuzzy or darker in a way that the piece looked more oval than rectangular though, that would help with the atmosphere. It would make it look more somber and pass the idea of being alone or abandoned. Nitpick but is a interesting idea.

The shading and lighting on the characters is on point! you can tell that the only light source is on them, and by the color it probably is moonlight so even more points to the atmosphere, my only problem with it as that the rest of the piece doesn't have this type of shading and lighting, the closest it has is the minimalist change of color from the grass, and while it looks nice it kinda clashes a bit with the characters.

I'm not gonna focus to much on the characters body type much, they are clearly made to look cartoony so the proportions are clearly exaggerated, so the paws being way smaller than they should be is not a problem, neither is the head size to body ratio, I actually think it looks quite cute to be honest

The framing is really nice too, good idea adding the text in the black zones and not as an dialog balloon or in the description. Both ways would kinda take away from the story you were trying to tell, this way you can easily see and understand all that SandFlower is going though and how she feels about it.

So overall i really like it !

I really like the atmosphere this picture gives off. The lighting really does a great job of highlighting the characters while retaining the colors of the background. The characters themselves also look really polished and they do a good job of showing emotion.

My only critique would be to do something more with the background. Giving the grass a few more streaks would make it look more like real grass as opposed to a ring. I believe a few shadows around the place would be good as well. The shadows could hint at trees or bushes in the corner.

Overall, I really like this piece and I think the cats are intriguing. The first one really does look forlorn and the white one really does look concerned, just like the description story portrays. The atmosphere also does the piece justice by creating the mood for the story.
