While on his way back to his apartment Israel the retired Mr. Arachnid comes across a teenage headstrong and brash Rumi who is very much outmatched by several thugs with powerful quirks but continuing to fight anyway. Though impressive she is still learning and is only holding off the inevitable until Israel decides to involve himself. Having close to two centuries of hero work under his belt he quickly takes down all the thugs and questions why she is out here. She would instead try to turn the subject back on him and inquire as to who he was. She would want to know how he was able to do that so quickly and demand to be taught.He would then decline and try to continue on his way, telling her to stay out of trouble to which Rumi would scoff at.

She would then continue to pester him for days until he gave in once she threatened to report his vigilante work to the authorities even if it meant exposing her own. Not wishing for his self-imposed isolation to end in such a way he reluctantly gave in. Sighing he would relent and show her a few things only for those few things to turn into a lot of things.

As time went on, they would learn a lot of things and spar with each other quite a lot. Though she thought he was a stick in the mud she very much valued his experience and wanted to learn all she could, whereas Mr. Arachnid saw her as the delinquent she was but appreciated that she at least wanted to direct her energy towards the thugs and scum of society. Eventually it would encourage him to renew his hero license in Japan and officially take her under his wing.
