Future Eri is attacked by the Sentinel unit codenamed Graviton, who's appearance and abilities seem oddly familiar.Β Part of my "My Hero Academia: Days of Future Past" idea.Drawn on pencil and ink, traced in Illustrator and colored in Photoshop by me.

Future Eri: (heavily breathing) You know me...
Uraraka/Uravity/Graviton (having come back alongside Nimrod): (growls) No I don't! (lashes out at her "former" companion in a fit of rage/confusion)
Future Eri: (grunts) You've known me since I was a little girl... (gets knocked back by a heavy blow, to which she struggles to get back up from) Your name is Uraraka Ochaco...
Uraraka/Uravity/Graviton: (shakes her head, her re-emerging memories clashing with her Sentinel (re-)programming) SHUT UP! (deals a heavy blow to Eri's stomach)
Future Eri: (coughs up blood, but gives her a tear-filled look of determination) I'm not going to fight you (drops a pipe that she had grabbed earlier) You're my friend...my mother...
Uraraka/Uravity/Graviton: (her breathing heavy, she suddenly yells out and charges her "former" adoptive daughter, pinning her to the ground; shakes her head) You're my mission (punches her over and over again) YOU'RE! MY! MISSION!
Future Eri: (shakes her head, tears in her eyes) ...then finish it...because I'm with you to the end of the line (starts to lose consciousness) I love you, mama... (passes out as Uraraka gasps as those words resonate in her mind)
flashback to a few days before Future Eri had shown up...
Eri (having recently woken up from a nightmare): (sniffles) You...you aren't going to get rid of me, right?
Uraraka: (smiles) You can't get rid of me or Deku that easily, Eri: heck, I'm pretty sure I speak for ALL Class 1-A when I say that I'm with you to the end of the line
Eri: (gives a tear-filled smile as she gives Uraraka a hug) I love you, mama
end flashback...
Uraraka/Uravity/Graviton (tears up before gently scoping up the girl in her arms, using her boaters to fly towards U.A. Highschool): (sniffles, repeating the words that she said all those years ago) I love you too

Personally I'd better see this as one of the many horrors Eri experienced before she time-traveled, but this idea of the Graviton coming with Nimrod in the present works too. At the very least, it prevents the present Ochako from being brainwashed, mind-controlled, captured, injured, damsel-in-distress-ed... once again.

The "those who were killed by the Sentinels were the lucky ones" series continues...
Who knows if some part of Ochako is still alive inside there (and if it emerged, I'm afraid she'd ask Eri to not hesitate and to be put out of her misery) or if by now it's just her body and quirk used like a puppet. Either way it must have been one of the most devastating moments for Eri before she time-traveled, if not the very worst since the day Deku died.
I was now thinking that Trask, once fused with Nimrod in the present, would know how Ochako, Kaminari and Yaomomo were used in the future and attempt to capture them to do the same shit... Eri would go ballistic.

Given how the Sentinels in the future make use of the powers of any mutant they've encountered, this is a frightening thought.

Look like the Sentinels have gone from trying to exterminate heroes to becoming the borg. I guess them going overboard has led to resources to keep running/create more sentinels so they have been forced to use those remaining as substitutes (as shown with Momo for materials and Kaminari for energy), you get a feeling of dread for what else the machines would do. And I thought this AU hit peak dark when Kota was killed and Beserker Eri was introduced.
I just have one question, do you like angst? From what I have seen, you have made that a running theme in some of these aus, and we want more. keep up the good work.

I did not know that. Its an interesting take on that concept.
Then again, I remember in Wolverine and the X-Men cartoon that some sentinels started using wolverine-style claws in their sentinel future.

If you look up the wiki for Sentinels, there should be some mention. Also the Nimrod Sentinels in the DoFP movie did that too.

Deku is long dead by that point in the dark future.
I have an idea that in the present Bastion may attempt to capture Ochako and others to do the same that was made to their future selves. So we may get a brainwashed Ochako in a quirk-enhancing armor...
However it'd feel too similar to the Dark Phoenix pictures. Furthermore, I wish to not see Ochako distressed/victimized once again to drive Deku forward.
