Thanks, but most of them took days and they still lack the loose hand, brushwork and color range that you have. I work on them for about 20mins at a time because i can't concentrate longer than that on something.
Damn, i just read that you use an Intuos! I had to blow the extra on a Cintiq because i couldn't work like that. You are 19 and i am 47!!

You're definitely cutting yourself short.
Also I'm the same way about concentrating, but instead of taking breaks I just try to go as quickly as possible, which is probably not great -- but I'm guessing it probably really loosens the hand up and makes things a little more intuitive

I do the same thing though.. sometimes I get super fucking frustrated when I'm painting. I look at pretty much everything I've painted and cringe and have no idea why people are being so nice to me about it. Also I don't think I've made incredible progress, I've just been experimenting the last 3 weeks, so it kind of gives me anxiety when people say that - because I'm definitely not going to continue producing content in the same style every single time.
I just think every artist feels like their stuff isn't good enough.. and if we didn't, I guess we wouldn't have motivation to improve

That makes sense AND fucking sucks at the same time. An artist gets all kinds of awards and compliments and in the end you hate your stuff. Ironic to be making things to try and feel better but in the end the only ones entertained is the audience.
Some how i had the fantasy that an artist will feel when they are doing something worth the time.

I just used one brush -Β orig15.deviantart.net/0fb0/f/2β¦ (i dont use this set this brush is just in a TON of them, just picked the first one i saw) brush #45
the brush doesn't really matter though.. I just used this one because it was the highest painterly brush in my list - I'd use any with some texture! :3Β

it took under an hour, but my normal paintings take 2-3. :3 painterly ones like this are much easier for me, i may end up doing a lot more of them.
