I have this reoccurring nightmare. I don’t usually have dreams, and out of the few I have had, this is second worst. I’m wearing a Victorian mourning outfit facing the ground, but the earth was sideways. Or rather, it curved. The earth was bent into a ninety degree angle so that I was facing into the grave. Obviously I was mourning, but instead of tears, my eyes poured out of their sockets like water. After my crystal eyes were drained, my eyelids closed around nothingness. The coffin opened and gravity- or something else- pulled me into the wooden casket. As the lid slammed shut, my eyes opened again, and instead of wood, I saw metal bars. There were a dozen other people in the cage and we were being taken to an unknown location. I saw a figure on the other side of the bars and I screamed. I yelled and screeched trying to make the others look at the dangerous creature, but they disregarded me every time I tried to warn them. Eventually I was struck.

They all turned on me and beat me brutally. The black thing was moving ever so closer to us, but no one else saw it. I thought about calling out again, but I was stopped by ferocious glares by the others. I shut my mouth and secretly wished them death. I directed my sight into everyone else’s, and they cowered before me. My eyes burned with the flames of hell. They huddled in the corners and I maintained my anger. The creature was clawing at the bars and I simply smiled. If I am to be treated like an animal, they shall die as animals, for I am no longer important. My opinion is no longer recognized. I was just a crazed, caged woman in their eyes, and yet we shared a fate. They shall all die. I’m an animal, a ferocious beast. Something disrespected and mistreated. I was an abomination.

                                                                                                                 I WAS INSANE!!!!!

Wow. I sympathize with you. I often have nightmares, so many I'm afraid to sleep. I don't have recurring nightmares, but I have enough to feel afraid.

Thank you for you comment. I'm glad i'm not the only one that will come out and say things like this, even if our nightmares are different. Again, thank you. For both your kind words and your feedback.

You're welcome. I just saw Inception, and I've been thinking a lot about dreams. My nightmares are a different one every time, but they are always terrifying, just in different ways.

When I wake up from mine, I can't move. My body is still stuck in the dream, and still asleep. It can take up to an hour for my limbs to function again.

Dear God. When I wake up from mine, my whole body shakes like I'm having a seizure. My flight or fight response is going off, and I feel like I need to run.

When I was younger, I used to punch in my sleep. I actually had a panic attack once. I also managed to fall off of my bed and still be asleep.
