You totally can, there is one that hangs out in the horse pastures almost daily

We have a lot of them in Oklahoma. There are a few that like to dig up the ranch. They are pretty oblivious to everything, so you can get really close to them without spooking them.

It's a lovely photo, and you're lucky to have one of them around!! I saw my first Armadillo ever irl last year at Walt Disney World at the conservation station, it was amazing!

Yes, they are all over here in Oklahoma This one lives along a dried up creek bed. I have seen him go in and out of his burrow before.

The ones out here are pretty oblivious to everything. I got about 10 feet away when I was taking pictures before the sound of the camera startled it. I love them. I haven't noticed any smell when I get close to them, I will really sniff next time!
